Fall Sunrise Elopement in Breckenridge

This fall these two drove all the way from Ohio to elope in front of the still water reflection of the lakes in Breckenridge. They drove something like 23 hours straight, eloped with their closest people present, and then headed almost immediately back to Ohio. They even planned it within 3 weeks.

These two took advantage of the best lighting of the day during sunrise and sunset. We met in the early hours of the morning at a lake where they read their vows to each other, watched big horn sheep on the steep hillside, and wandered around waterfalls. They spent the afternoon at a local restaurant and with family, then we all met back up for sunset at one of the most gorgeous locations in Frisco.

And did I mention that we’re related?! Really the icing on the cake to spend the day with my cousin who I hadn’t seen in probably 15 years, and to be there to document their day. I don’t know what sounds more dreamy, a last minute drive to Colorado to elope or knowing you’ll have the pictures and experience to look back on for the rest of your lives together.
