Why you should get married in Grand Junction
I’m totally biased because I lived in Grand Junction for four years and got the opportunity to explore every nook of this incredible space. But if you’re into high desert, yucca, wide open green fields, desert mountains, sandstone overlooks, fields of wildflowers, towering pine trees…Grand Junction might be the place for you.
It truly has every. single. thing.

Grand Junction Weather
The weather in Grand Junction is best in March, April, and May during the spring, and again in October, November, and December. I would highly recommend not getting married in June, July, August, or September as the temperature usually reaches over 100 degrees and there is little to no shade in most locations in Grand Junction. January + February are also okay months to elope out here although weather can be a bit trickier with winter rain and snow.

Flying & Driving into Grand Junction
Flying: The closest airport to GJ is going to be Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) which is located just north out of town. Another option is Montrose (MJT) which is 60 miles from GJ and typically has cheaper flights.
Driving: If coming from Denver International Airport (DIA) the drive is 250 miles and takes about 4 hours when there is no traffic. Keep in mind that traffic coming from DIA through the front range and into the mountains is some of the worst, especially on Friday and Saturday, as well as return trips to Denver on Sunday.
Price Point
Grand Junction is one of the most affordable towns in Colorado as hotels and short-term lodging are abundant and very cheap compared to most other places in the state. There is a lot to do around town at free or affordable prices too.
