Palisade Canyon Styled Shoot with Kagami Vintage

Last week I got to go out with Skylar again to photograph THIS AMAZING WEDDING DRESS that is now available up in her shop at Kagami Vintage!

I shot with Skylar for the first time a few months ago when we roamed around our neighborhood in the hot spring sun. I don’t really have a much to say about this shoot except that I love shooting with Sky because this is about how our shoots go: I texted her Thursday around 2pm asking what time we should go shoot, she came over 5 hours later and we hopped in the car. A few, “hmmm where should we go” before we settled on this spot out in Palisade I had been to a few months before. I think its become pretty conducive to my creative process to go into shoots with zero expectations of the outcome, trusting that I know what I’m doing, and being able to think creatively with less pressure. I’m not sure if that makes any sense but I suppose what I am saying is that if you aren’t working outside of your work ‘creatively’ then I would totally recommend that you do!

Otherwise, we drove up the steep and dusty dirt road to this trailhead where we shot for exactly 19 minutes before the bugs got incredibly annoying and we booked it back to the car.
