Trout Lake Telluride Elopement

I was 26 when I first laid eyes on Trout Lake. It was Fourth of July weekend and I was road tripping around with a friend, and as we came way too fast down Lizard Head Pass, there it was. It was one of those beautiful blue bird sky days that Colorado is known for, and being early July, everything was so vividly green. I wanted to stop but the momentum of the car kept me from turning around. And so that was it.

Until a few years later, when I finally made it back. And that is what is so amazing about Telluride and the San Juans. While the trails around the front range are busy and packed, places like Telluride are still a 7 or 8 hour drive. So on weekdays you can have some of these hidden gems all to yourself. And thats one of the many things that I can help you with when location scouting for your intimate elopement.

If you’re looking to elope in Telluride and need some help planning the most meaningful day for the two of you, please reach out!

For these two, that meant getting ready at the presidential suite at The Hotel Telluride, roaming around downtown Telluride to grab some lunch and explore the shops, say their vows in front of a lake + mountains, and have a picnic with their friends that are local in the area.

I’ll always say there is something special about the tight-knit community of the western slope. The incredible vendors that helped make this day perfect, that you should 1000% check out for your San Juan wedding:
